Clips Of Fiath - Beer And FIlm Tour (Sneak Preview Fort Collins)

On May 16th I was invited out to Road 34 in Fort Collins Colorado to help kickoff the New Belgium Brewery's Clips of Faith Beer and Film Tour. I was already very excited to be included as I had seen the 2011 selections the previous year, but to see this years selections and to have my own film included is still pretty unbelievable. Over Breakfast

Now Featured On The Atticus Review

"Over Breakfast" is an intimate look at a moment alone, and the thoughts and memories these moments can provoke.

Artistically it is an attempt to stretch myself in the realm of videopoetry, by trying something that has proved to be difficult to do in this art form, "being literal".

Visually I wanted something that looked a little more feminine, and gentle to the touch. Where as I spent much less time editing this piece, I spent more time on cinematography and atmosphere.

"Under A Man Made Sun" is the second videopoem installment of the "Vista Poems", four poems that examine how the the past and future collide. "Under A Man Made Sun" is a brief history of our digital past, honoring and criticizing our predecessors, while pointing out our own future is still very much up in the air.

"Under A Man Made Sun" was first featured on Moving Poems in September of 2011. The videopoem made it's film festival debut @ the The International Literary Film Festival  on November 15th @ the Spectacle Theater  in Brooklyn N.Y. More recently the film appeared along side Perkins' other filmpoems @ The Lyric Cinema Cafe In Fort Collins Co. This filmpoem was festured on The Atticus Review and more recently The Denver Egotist & The Huffington Post Denver

Challenge Me Vista

"Challenge Me Vista" is Perkins' first professional attempt at videopoetry or Filmpoems. He first finished "Vista" in the summer of 2010. The film was noticed online by indy film fans, and indy music fans before gaining attention from the literary community. "Vista"  first appeared on Moving Poems in Sept of 2011 and on the Atticus Review in Dec. More recently the film screened with the rest of Perkins' videopoems March 15th 2012 @ the Lyric CInema Cafe in Fort Collins Co & on Monday April 9th 2012 "Vista" was featured in an article on The Huffington Post Denver. This is still Perkins' most viewed poem on the web.
